Portraits, figures, and icons, painted in watercolor with more grit than the medium usually allows.
I paint figures pulled from cinema and pop culture, hyperrealist still lifes, and detailed wildlife, all in watercolor. The subjects vary. The obsession with detail doesn't.
Watercolor is usually associated with soft edges and gentle washes. I push it further, building up layers on 400lb Arches paper until a piece of fruit looks edible, a face has weight, or a crab's shell has texture you want to touch.
Originals are one of a kind. Prints are limited. Commissions are open. Bring me a subject worth painting.
Figures, portraits, and icons, each piece painted on archival paper and available as an original or limited print.
Every original is unique. When it's gone, it's gone. Commission slots are limited. Don't sit on it.
